Specially For You is a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. New Year’s Resolutions are yearly goals that you set yourself at the beginning of the year. They are a time for you to reflect on what you can do or make better for the next year.
Here are 5 ways to help you achieve your New Year’s resolutions:
- Only pick 4 goals
There are four aspects of your goals that you should focus on. They are Health, Wealth, Personal and Social. Choose one goal for each aspect and only focus on that goal. This allows you to focus on all areas of your life and allow you to achieve the best results for 2018.
- Write down your resolutions and put them somewhere
Write down your resolutions and put them somewhere that you look at everyday. By writing your goals down you are reinforcing them in your mind, which allows you to have the best chance at achieving them. By looking at them everyday you will subconsciously trick your brain into achieving them.
- Turn each resolution into a habit
Turn each resolution into a habit. By turning it into a habit it will be something that you do everyday. Working on your resolutions everyday will give you a better chance at working towards them.
- Work on one habit a month
Having to many habits limits your chance of achieving them, as it is too many too handle. By focusing on one habit each month you will get used to the first one so then when you introduce the second one the first one will already be a habit.
- Keep track of your progress
Write down your progress everyday in a calendar or a journal. This allows you to look back and reflect on your day or month you’ve had.
